Cape Town - Eric Tinkler said he will not rush Brighton Mhlongo back from injury, stating he is happy with the performances of Felipe Ovono and Siyabonga Mpontshane.
Orlando Pirates' first-choice goalkeeper has only just returned to training after recovering from a knee problem he sustained at the beginning of August.
Mpontshane has since been handed Premiership duties, while Ovono has been the man to stand between the sticks in the CAF Confederations Cup, where the Buccaneers face Al Ahly in the return leg of their semi-final on Sunday, October 4.
And while Mhlongo is the undoubted number-one at the club, Tinkler is wary of rushing the keeper back too soon.
"Brighton started light jogging, he does a little bit of handling, like static handling and I'm not saying he dives around. He's nowhere near that," Tinkler told KickOff.
"My opinion is that we can't be rushing him. He had a serious injury and it's about his future and let's try and lay off him for a while and give him time to recover."
