Tinkler wants Group B top spot

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler has targeted the CAF Confederations Cup Group B summit following their semi-final qualification.

The Buccaneers marched into the final four of the continental tournament after a 2-0 victory over AC Leopards at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday, August 22 courtesy of goals from Mpho Makola and Oupa Manyisa.

The Sea Robbers are now looking to finish off the job in their final group match against Zamalek on September 12 in Cairo.

Pirates aim to top the group in order to secure a home second leg in the semi-final.

"It's good when you start away in the semi-finals and you know what to do at home in the second leg," Tinkler told Soccer Laduma.

"If we finish on top then we will have the second positioned team from the other group, meaning we have to start away which is very good.

"We can relax if we want to achieve that because final group game is away against Zamalek and we need to win there."
