Tinkler thrilled with support

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler is hopeful the support of a nation can help spur the club to CAF Confederations Cup glory this year.

The Buccaneers have been in superb form on the continent in 2015, booking their place in the final thanks to a thrilling 5-3 aggregate victory over Al Ahly last weekend.

The Soweto giants will now come up against Etoile du Sahel over two-legs in November to decide who will be crowned champions, and with South Africa fully behind the team, Tinkler is hopeful they can reward each and every fan by bringing home the trophy.

"We are grateful for the support that we have received from everyone in the country. We know our supporters are wishing us well and many other South Africans as well," he told Soccer Laduma.

"That's what keeps us going and we have to give back to everyone who has supported us by going to the finals and making sure we bring back the trophy.

"It's not easy but with the support from everyone in the country then we can do it."
