The Buccaneers booked their place in the second round after
playing out a 2-2 draw against URA in Kampala this weekend to seal a 4-3
And Tinkler is now targeting a run to the tournament's
final, something they achieved in the CAF Champions League two years ago when
they went down to Egyptian giants Al-Ahly.
"We want to go as far as possible in the
tournament," he told SuperSport TV.
"This is a good draw for us and is good motivation
because it keeps us along that road. We shall take each game as it comes."
Pirates will now turn their attentions back to the
Premiership, where they will be looking to keep pace with the top two when they
host Platinum Stars on Tuesday.
