Tinkler: We have to be mentally strong

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler says that despite playing so many games in fewer days they have to be strong mentally and go for a win.

Pirates are starting this new season with an away fixture against SuperSport United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday, August 11.

Tinkler told Sport24 that playing Matsatsansta is always an uphill battle but with his players in the form following their victory over CS Sfaxien [CAF Confederations Cup] that they are in at the moment, they won't go for any result less than a win.

"It's true, we are playing a game almost every three days and to play so many games in a short period of time you need mental strength," Tinkler said.

"The players have to be prepared to work an extra mile and I think they are ready for that and we will tackle the game against United with that in mind."
