Tinashe: PSL still up for grabs

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Tinashe Nengomasha says the team cannot give up on their hunt for the Premiership title this season.

Amakhosi have produced numerous up-and-down performances this season and most recently followed up a 3-2 defeat to Orlando Pirates with a 2-0 victory over Bloemfontein Celtic at the weekend.

The Glamour Boys currently sit fourth in the standings, five points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, but with the added benefit of a game-in-hand Nengomasha is confident the side can still finish the campaign as PSL champions.

"The league is still there for the taking. We need to take it one game at a time as we get to meet different opponents," he told Backpage TXT.

"We need to stay focused. Every game will be more important to us."

Chiefs next face Golden Arrows on Wednesday evening, with the Soweto giants eager to overturn their 2-1 defeat in the reverse fixture last year.

"We have a game coming up against Golden Arrows and they are a team on high having won their past four games or so," the playmaker added.

"We won our last game against Bloemfontein Celtic and it's important that we keep the momentum."
