Time to 'soldier on"

Cape Town – Steve Barker is still highly motivated to get AmaZulu out of the relegation despite loss to Orlando Pirates.

According to KickOff, Barker admits that his side had moments where they were good but things did not go their way and points blame at their log position.

"Very disappointed, gave as good as we got, and in certain areas we better than them so it's not a result we deserve,” said Barker.

Usuthu were handed 2-1 defeat by the Sea Robbers after Kermit Erasmus put one pass the goalkeeper in the dying minutes of the game.

"There are positives to take out of the game but, disappointed. We were good this evening. We played some good football in stages, the commitment of the players was good, we eliminated them from getting any opportunities especially in the first half and I generally thought we controlled the game.

"But when you're at the bottom of the log like we are, little things just don't go your way at crucial moments. We just gotta bounce back, lift one another and soldier on."
