Johannesburg - New Orlando Pirates recruit Daine Klate has distanced himself from comments attributed to him lambasting Bucs team-mate Teko Modise.
The duo played together at SuperSport United, before Modise moved to Pirates.
They have now been reunited at Parktown and Klate insists they have a good relationship, despite the fact that the winger was quoted as saying 'The General' "holds on to the ball too much".
Stiga reveals he shares a healthy relationship with Modise despite what was printed recently.
"That was the media writing what they want people to believe," he said.
"I don't comment on other players badly in the media and so that was just the media writing what they want people to read.
"I'm looking forward to playing with him, because he is a great player. I'm here to create goals alongside Teko and hopefully we will help Pirates end the drought."
