Teko thrilled with Chiefs scalp

Johannesburg - Teko Modise admitted he took plenty of personal pleasure from scoring against Kaizer Chiefs, but insisted the most important thing was securing the three points.

According to the Football411.com website, the veteran midfielder bagged the only goal during Saturday's FNB Stadium encounter as the Brazilians downed the PSL leaders 1-0 to climb level at the top of the table.

Speaking of the result, which saw Sundowns become the first team to beat Amakhosi at home this season, Modise was delighted with his own contribution, and is convinced the side can now push on a realise their dream of lifting the Premiership crown.

"It is always good to score. It does not matter who I score against, but in a game like the one against Chiefs it means a lot to me because it helped the team get three points," he told his official website.

He continued: "Since the beginning of the season the spirit has always been great. We have no issues when it comes to that.

"As a result of this we have been getting the results.

"We are going to try to do our best to go on and win as many games as we can. This is a difficult task for us, but we have the mental strength to continue on the winning path."
