Cape Town - Teko Modise admits he is relishing the intensity the football season as Mamelodi Sundowns compete in three competitions.

Speaking on his official website, the veteran midfielder knows the difficulty of playing in different competitions can have some kind of strain.

“We recently won our first match of the Nedbank Cup to advance to the round of 16. The next hurdle will be Platinum Stars on the quest to make it to the quarter finals,” said Modise.

“This will indeed be a tough game for both teams. We will be prepared for the contest when the day comes though.”

“The next fixture is an Absa Premiership match on Tuesday evening against Bidvest Wits. This will be the third match of the league since returning from the mid-season break.

“Playing in three different competitions is not easy but we have won four out of the five matches we have played.

“The players are confident about the way we play. Everyone in the camp knows what we have to do to keep the results coming.”

Sundowns and Wits will clash at Bidvest Stadium on Tuesday, March 3.

When the teams met earlier this season they played to a goalless draw in Tshwane.

Kick-off at 19:30.
