Tau: We'll learn from season

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs captain Jimmy Tau insists that his side will learn from their mistakes of the 2010/11 campaign.

Amakhosi missed out on league glory by one point as bitter rivals Orlando Pirates lifted the coveted trophy on Saturday afternoon.

Tau believes his side were not consistent enough against the sides toward the bottom of the table and admits that will have to change in future if they are to rule the South African scene once again.

"We did very well against the likes of Pirates and Ajax as well as Sundowns in the first round, but if we look at our record against the teams from outside the top eight we dropped points in these games," Tau told Chiefs' official website. "Which shows that we can play in the big games, some times against the smaller teams it is a bit of struggle, so we will learn from this experience and aim for better consistency.

"I do believe that there are also a lot of positive points for us to draw from this season."

Tau added: "It has been a long season, it is time to recharge and be rested and ready for next season.

"I hope to get some rest and we will come back fit and ready for pre-season training."
