Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs captain Jimmy Tau believes his side's motivation to lift the league trophy will stand them in good stead this weekend.
Amakhosi travel to Loftus on Sunday to meet title rivals Mamelodi Sundowns - a match which will now kick-off at 16:00 as opposed to the original time of 15:00.
Tau insists that confidence is high amongst the Chiefs squad and believes this clash comes at just the right time.
"This could not have come at a better time; it is a game that we are motivated for as we all know what is at stake. The players are aware of this and ready for this clash," the former Orlando Pirates defender said ahead of the match.
"There's nine points to be won and we can do it. We know that mathematically if we lose this game it makes it very difficult to challenge for the league title."
Chiefs defeated the Brazilians earlier in the campaign, but Tau insists that victory counts for nothing come kick-off on Sunday.
"Yes we beat them earlier this season and it does boost us. But we cannot rely on that only going in to this match," he added.
"They have made changes to their team as well so it will be very different from the first clash."
