Swallows give Lekata a chance

Cape Town – Former AmaZulu striker, Josef Lekata, is reportedly training with Moroka Swallows.

According to Soccer Laduma, the 27-year-old is eager to revive his career following a season with First National Division side, African Warriors.

Lekata did feature in a match against Chippa United last week along with Takesure Chinyama and former Free State Stars’ striker Aleni Lebyane, who are also on trial with the Dube Birds.

Coach Zeca Marques is still to decide if he will hand a contract to either of the players ahead of the PSL season.

Swallows take on Orlando Pirates at the Orlando stadium on Saturday, August 9.
