SuperSport target third PSL victory

Cape Town - Free State Stars will look to continue their good form in the Absa Premiership when they host SuperSport United at Goble Park.

Stars claimed a third win from their last four league matches when they beat Polokwane City 2-0 away on October 21.

The Free State side has claimed four points from three home matches this season.

Ea Lla Koto are placed ninth on the Absa Premiership log with 10 points from seven matches.

SuperSport claimed their second win of the season when they beat Chippa United 2-0 away on October 27.

The Tshwane side has claimed four points from three away matches this season.

Matsatsantsa are placed 11th on the Absa Premiership log with eight points from as many matches.

In head-to-head stats, Stars and SuperSport have met in 38 league matches since 1991.

Matsatsantsa have claimed 13 wins compared to nine for Ea Lla Koto, while 16 matches have been drawn.

Stars have won six of their 19 home matches against SuperSport, suffering five defeats in the process.

Last season Ea Lla Koto took four points off Matsatsantsa, winning 3-2 in the Free State before a 2-2 away draw in the return game.

The teams’ last four league meetings have produced 17 goals.

Kick-off is at 15:30 on Saturday, November 1.
