Cape Town - SuperSport United have reportedly tabled a bid with Mamelodi Sundowns to sign midfielder Elias Pelembe in the off-season.

The Mozambique international's current deal at Chloorkop comes to an end in June, leading to various reports linking him with a move away from the Tshwane giants.

Orlando Pirates have been tipped as one of those potential suitors, although it appears Matsatsantsa are now frontrunners to land his signature.

Pelembe has seen his playing time at Sundowns diminish in the past season, having managed just 10 starts in the Premiership while also playing a bit-part role in their Nedbank Cup title-winning campaign.
