Sundowns to play their Swazi namesakes

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns are set to face Manzini Sundowns in one of their pre-season training games.

A Sport24 source said that the game is expected to be played in Mpumalanga where the Brazilians are supposed to camp.

"The game will also give Mamelodi Sundowns a chance to scout for players from the Swazi side. They planned this game from last season and it will be played in the pre-season," the source said.

Called for comment, Manzini Sundowns chairperson Mark Carmichael confirmed that there is a game planned against their South African counterparts.

"Yes we will play against Sundowns but at the moment we don't have all the details. But yes the game will happen," Carmichael concluded.
