Mayambela: A lot to come from Chippa

Cape Town - Chippa United midfielder Mark Mayambela has backed coach Roger Sikhakhane to lead the team to a successful campaign following their 4-0 drubbing of University of Pretoria on Tuesday.

The Chilli Boys at the weekend with a dominant display against AmaTuks at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in midweek.

Mayambela was the catalyst in the convincing win, contributing a goal before setting up Lerato Manzini's late strike, while Nkosinathi Mthiyane and Eric Chipeta capped off the performance.

"There is still a lot to come from this team. Even though we got the result yesterday, there is still room for improvement," Mayambela KickOff.

"The good thing about the game against Tuks is that we created chances and we buried them.

"The result against Pirates was not a true reflection of the game. We needed to keep trying again and, playing at home, we needed the result. I believe we are on the right track and we must keep fighting.

"It was a great feeling to score after such a long time. It’s not about me, but what is important is the team and getting the results is what is important."
