The midfield trio of Thuso Phala, Innocent Mkhabela and Lentshane Phelane will all play for the club next year, along with young goalkeeper Kagiso Mlambo.
“The club had a one-year option on the contracts of these four players and we have decided to exercise that option now,” Stars general manager Jason Raine says.
“And we look forward to making more contract announcements in the near future with discussions still on-going as we plan for next season.”
Winger Phala has featured in every League game that he has been available for, while Mkhabela has been a revelation since joining from Sivutsa Stars at the beginning of the season.
Mkhabela’s powerful displays in the centre of the park, as well as some crucial goals scored, have won him plenty of plaudits this campaign.
Phelane was part of the Baroka FC side that did so well in the Nedbank Cup last season and joined Stars in June 2011, while Mlambo was spotted during trials held by Platinum Stars in the pre-season and joined from Castle League side Senaoane Gunners.
