Sono rues lack of goals

Cape Town - Jomo Cosmos coach Jomo Sono knows his side need to start converting chances into goals, sooner rather than later, as they remain in the hunt for a first win of the season.

Sunday's 2-0 loss at home against Mamelodi Sundowns made it six Premiership matches without victory for Ezenkosi, who sit second-last in the standings, albeit one point from safety.

However, Sono is well aware of the battle his side will face if they continue failing to make the most of their opportunities in front of goal, having scored just once so far this term.

"We are still looking for that win... hopefully it will come," he said.

"I thought they [players] again did well today, but we can't keep saying the whole season we are doing well but we can't score goals.

"The only difference was that Sundowns scored two and we didn't score."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
