Sono confident of avoiding drop

Cape Town - Jomo Cosmos head coach and owner Jomo Sono is confident his side is good enough to avoid relegation from the Premiership this season.

Cosmos are considered one of the favourites to drop back down to the National First Division after needing to come through the promotion/relegation playoffs to earn their Premiership status for the coming season.

However, Sono has made assurances his side will not be relegated and even suggested he already knew which two teams would be going down.

"I have already seen two teams already that are going down," Sono told KickOff.

"Some people thought I am mad when I said we are going to win the play-offs.

"They said I am crazy and even now I can assure you and you can quote me, 15th and 16th teams going down - I have already seen them and it's not Cosmos."

Sono said he has set his sights high so even if they do not reach them, they will still be performing above expectations.
