Sikhakhane considers NFD

Cape Town - Football coach Roger Sikhakhane will be prepared to take up a job in the National First Division, especially if the club is based in his home province of KwaZulu-Natal.

Sikhakhane was unceremoniously dumped from Chippa United earlier this year, after the Eastern Cape club decided to appoint Ernst Middendorp as its new coach.

While there was considerable criticism about the manner in which the transition was handled, Sikhakhane appears to have moved on and is already plotting his professional future.

"At the moment I’m at home in KZN," Sikhakhane told Soccer Laduma.

"If any offer comes up, I’ll have a look at it. If I have to take up a job in the National First Division, it has to be at a team that’s challenging for promotion.

"I’ll see, but I’d love to be based in Durban. I will welcome any offer that comes from a team based this side. Maybe next season ... let’s see," said Sikhakhane.
