Tshabalala scored a goal in each half to inspire Amakhosi to a 3-1 victory and he did this just days after returning from England where he underwent trials at Nottingham Forest.
Although Vermezovic was impressed with the winger's showing, he issued the following statement that will worry the likes of Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
"I can't ask for more than what he [Tshabalala] did," said Vermezovic.
"It was surprising to see him get the two goals because you can see he is out of rhythm because of his travel to England, but he is an experienced guy and we will see him at his best soon," he added.
Vermezovic also revealed he is planning a last-minute onslaught on the league title this season.
Pirates are at the summit of the standings after Saturday's round of fixtures, while the Glamour Boys are second, two points behind the Buccaneers.
"We were not at our usual best but the aim is to stay closer to the leaders and in the last five games we will fight for the league title, that's how I see this ending," said the Serbian.
"At the end of the day titles and prizes will come. I want to stay in the race and remain dangerous to the leaders. We can't allow Pirates and Sundowns to relax."
Chiefs travel to Durban on Wednesday for a date with Golden Arrows at the Moses Mabhida Stadium and Vermezovic believes there will be "no mercy" for his compatriot Zoran Filipovic, who is at the helm at Abafana Bes'thende.
"Every game is a final for us and every opponent deserves respect, but at the end of the day for the 90 minutes of the game we are enemies. It will be a tough game, but no mercy for my friend (Filipovic)," Vermezovic added.
