'Shabba' to return to training

Siphiwe Tshabalala (Gallo)
Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs will welcome midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala back to the training ground this week following his return from injury.

The Bafana Bafana playmaker injured himself in the 3-2 defeat against Bidvest Wits in the Telkom Knockout last-16 on October 19, and has since spent his time on the recovery table.

However, Amakhosi physiotherapist David Milner has confirmed the South African is ready to make his comeback in training, telling the club's official website: "Shabba was seen and was given a green light to commence with light training."

Some bad news for the Glamour Boys, though, is the fact Eric Mathoho is facing an extended spell out after he injured his shoulder in the 1-1 draw against Maritzburg United in the PSL on Friday evening.

"Eric (Mathoho) hurt the first joint in his shoulder. He was injected to it and strapped. He will be assessed again later this week," Milner added.
