Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs utility player Siphiwe Tshabalala has been ruled out of their opening PSL game of the year against Jomo Cosmos on Wednesday.
According to the club, Tshabalala suffered a knee injury during training and the Chiefs medical team is yet to assess the extent of the injury to confirm the expected length of time that he will be out for.
“Shabba got injured in training on Saturday. He saw the club’s doctor on Monday and will miss the game against Jomo Cosmos. He is going for further assessments later in the week,” Chiefs physio, Dave Milner told kaizerchiefs.com
Tshabalala joins midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane, who could miss the rest of the season after suffering an injury early in January while playing for the national team.
