Shabba: We worked very hard

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs captain Siphiwe Tshabalala has praised his team-mates following their 4-0 win over Free State Stars on Saturday night.

Amakhosi were in good form in their second PSL match of the season, and Tshabalala was also on the scoresheet, netting the last goal of the evening.

“I think credit goes to the boys, they did very well and we worked very hard,” Tshabalala said.

“We won this match as a collective, we knew it was not going to be easy against Free State Stars because they are a man-marking team, but our movements made things easy for whomever who was in position of the ball.”

The Chiefs skipper credited his colleagues for making things easier to lead by example and produce a man of the match performance.

“Yeah, definitely, we have been working hard and all the games we have played thus far.

"We have been doing well, but tonight was excellent in a sense that we completed the whole thing by scoring four goals and not conceding.”

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
