Shabba: Our focus is on Tuks

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs captain Siphiwe Tshabalala is eager to put the disappointment of the MTN8 Cup final loss behind them and refocus on their Premiership campaign.

Amakhosi went down 1-0 to Ajax Cape Town at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday to lose out on the first trophy of the season.

Tshabalala admitted that the result had been a bitter pill to swallow but insists that the squad was not dwelling on the defeat and are fully focused on the Premiership game against University of Pretoria on Wednesday.

"Of course we wanted to defend the MTN8 but it didn't work out that way and now our focus is on Tuks," he told Soccer Laduma.

"Every game we play is very important so we can't dwell in the past because that will disturb our focus.

"There is still a lot more to fight for and we have to move on and make sure we do well in the league starting with this game against Tuks," Shabba concluded.

Interestingly, Chiefs also trail the Urban Warriors at the top of the Absa Premiership standings by a point after the Cape side's impressive start to the 2015/16 season.
