Soweto - Speaking to Soccer Laduma's website, Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphiwe ‘Shabba’ Tshabalala said he was confident that his team will go all the way this season and clinch the league title.
Leading the Absa Premiership table by six points, Chiefs face second-placed Platinum Stars on Sunday, with a victory all but assuring their status as champions.
Tshabalala said the game at Peter Mokhaba Stadium was vital to Amakhosi's title hopes.
“We can smell the trophy. We can smell the championship and we don't have to put ourselves under pressure. We just have to take the four remaining games as cup finals, starting with this one against Stars.
“They are number two and we are first, so if we win this one, then we have one hand on the trophy. So we have to smell it and win it," the Bafana Bafana midfielder said.
It is nine years since Kaizer Chiefs last won the Premier Soccer League title.
