Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates will not receive a warm welcome in Cape Town according to Thulani Serero, who is determined to help Ajax Cape Town down the league leaders.
The Urban Warriors host Bucs at Newlands Stadium on Wednesday night, in a clash that is expected to have a big say in the title race.
Foppe de Haan's men are just one point adrift of the visitors and Serero, who has been in sublime form this season, wants his team-mates to overhaul Pirates.
"We are coming up against a great side in our league - Pirates are in terrific form and have not lost in their last 16 matches," he said.
"There is always the first time for everything. It is unfortunate for them that their first defeat in 2011 will occur in Cape Town.
"We are going out for a win to remain in the race for the championship. It will be great to score a goal or two to contribute to the success of our team."
The Urban Warriors will be keen to avenge the reverse league fixture at Orlando Stadium, which ended 3-0 to Bucs.
But Ruud Krol's men did not have to deal with Serero in that encounter due to injury and Thembinkosi "Terror" Fanteni was also missing in action.
Ajax have the best home record in the league and will be hoping Pirates leave the Mother City empty handed.
