"In these difficult time we need to stand together and honour the legacy of Senzo. He has left his mark and it's up to us now to continue in his name," Khoza said at a press conference yesterday.

"No one can replace Senzo.

"And his jersey will never be worn by anyone else again," added the Soweto giants chairman.

Meyiwa's jersey number (1) will join those of Jomo Sono (10), Clifford Moleko (13) and Lesley "Slow Poison" Manyathela (22) which have been retired by the club.

Sono's famous number 10 was retired after the legendary player called time on his career while Moleko's and Manyathela's numbers were retired by the club following their deaths (both car accidents) in 1998 and 2003 respectively.
