Sekola: I have no regrets

Cape Town - Free State Stars striker Moeketsi Sekola has explained his decision to spurn the advances of some of South Africa's most established clubs.

Sekola finished the 2014/2015 Premiership campaign as the league's top scorer with an impressive tally of 14 goals.

His form did most certainly not go unnoticed, with Orlando Pirates said to be ling up a move for the 26-year-old Bafana Bafana international.

However, Sekola feels that now is not the best time for him to move and is confident he has made the right decision after deciding to commit his future to Ea Lla Koto.

"As a player, I know what's best for me," Sekola told Sowetan Live.

"I think deciding to remain with the club will help me because I have seen a lot of players who have come and gone because their careers were never stable once they moved.

"I have no regrets about my decision and I am confident that we could achieve a lot in the new season, including the chance to win a cup."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
