Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns captain Alje Schut admits Saturday's 2-0 Nedbank Cup victory over Thanda Royal Zulu was exactly the start the team had been hoping for.

The Brazilians had to wait until the second half at Loftus Versfeld to open the scoring as skipper Schut headed home past their National First Division opponents, before Teko Modise wrapped up the result from the penalty spot 15 minutes from time.
