Sarr to miss Black Aces clash

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates have confirmed midfielder Issa Sarr could miss Friday's Premiership clash against Mpumalanga Black Aces after being granted compassionate leave.

The playmaker flew home to Senegal this week following the death of his mother, and although the funeral was on Wednesday, logistics and emotional turmoil could see Sarr miss the visit of AmaZayoni to the Orlando Stadium this weekend.

"He left the country (on Tuesday). It was important for the club to grant him compassionate leave," Bucs administrative official Floyd Mbele told KickOff.

The news will come as a blow to Pirates, who are looking to jump-start their Premiership campaign after winning just one of their opening three league matches, losing the other two to sit 12th in the standings, already six points off the pace at the top, albeit with a game in hand.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
