Sangweni forced into Pirates camp

Cape Town - Currently without a contract, Siyabonga Sangweni looks likely to stay at Orlando Pirates after his seeing his options for a move to a new club decrease.

According to Kickoff.com, Siyabonga Sangweni is left with little option but remain at the Sea Robbers for the season.

Sangweni was reluctant to sign a new deal with Pirates with a move to PSL champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, on the card but that deal is no longer viable after Sundowns moved for an ulterior target in Mario Booysen.

Sangweni is in a difficult position as Pirates are considering their options with the 32-year-old centre back and will not likely offer him a contract on the same terms as he was offered in earlier contract negotiations.

Orlando Pirates face Kaizer Chiefs in the 2014 Carling Black Label Cup on Saturday with the match kicking off at 15:30.

Sport24 will have LIVE and interactive match commentary for the traditional pre-season friendly.
