Cape Town - Free State Stars boss Tom Saintfiet has targeted the Telkom Knockout as an opportunity for his side to make a statement in this campaign.

Ea Lla Koto will travel to the Lucas Moripe Stadium where they will lock horns against SuperSport United in a last-16 encounter on Saturday, October 4.

The Belgian mentor is buoyed by his side's two come-from-behind wins in the league against SuperSport and most recently Moroka Swallows.

“This was not the first time we displayed that kind of football...this should be a sign to other teams. We play until the last whistle,” Saintfiet said in his column on the club’s website.

“This (Telkom Knockout) is an opportunity for us to take the confidence we have gained in the league and use it to ignite a great domestic cup campaign.”

“This is the first cup competition for the season and we want to make it as far as we can,” he added.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
