Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs defender Valery Nahayo is set to travel to Belgium where he will spend five days at Pro League outfit KAA Gent ahead of a potential move to the club.
The defender is looking forward to a tour of the club's facilities in order to make his final decision regarding a possible transfer to the club at the end of the season.
The Amakhosi have no problem allowing Nahayo to make the trip and confirmed that he will be back in time to face AmaZulu in their final league game.
Football manager Bobby Motaung told the official Kaizer Chiefs website: "The player will go to Gent to assess their set-up and working conditions before making a final decision on a possible move.
"He returns the following week on time for our fixture against AmaZulu."
Nahayo drew Gent's attention after an impressive season with the Glamour Boys and revealed that it was self belief which helped him reach the top of his game.
He told the same website: "I think this season I regained belief in my ability as a player. I had to believe in myself and everything just worked well for me".
"I had challenges with injuries in the past seasons which hampered my progress. This season I was injury free and enjoyed football.
"Life at Chiefs has also been good allowing me to focus on improving my game.
"I would like to thank everyone for the support they have given me this season."
