Cape Town - Moroka Swallows coach Craig Rosslee was pleased with his side's performance in their 1-1 draw with SuperSport United, but was disappointed to concede late on.

The Dube Birds came within two minutes of securing a vital victory that would have lifted them out of the relegation zone before Clayton Daniels stole a point for Matsatsantsa in the 91st minute.

The result leaves Swallows in trouble in last place on the Premiership table, level on points with AmaZulu but with an inferior goal difference.

Rosslee was delighted with the effort his players put in in a tough away encounter against much favoured opponents.

"Credit to the boys, who travelled home from Port Elizabeth, got on the bus and then travelled all the way here [to Polokwane], and their performance was outstanding to take the lead," he said.

"I thought we defended well; I thought we created a great couple of chances as well, and just the slip at the last minute - we could have gone all the way with the three points.

"I'm very happy with the performance and the fighting spirit, but very disheartening to go down with a equaliser with two minutes to go."
