Rivaldo a doubt for Wits clash

Cape Town – Ajax Cape Town defender Rivaldo Coetzee is a doubt for their PSL encounter against Bidvest Wits.

According to KickOff, Coetzee was taken off in Ajax’s goalless draw against SuperSport United at Athlone Stadium after a hefty collision. Coetzee recently returned back into the first team contention following a groin injury.

Roger de Sa confirmed that Coetzee will go for tests to determine the damaged inflicted and whether the young Bafana Bafana starlet can compete.

“I don’t know yet we’ll have to check him out. He took quite a knock and I’m hoping it’s just a knock, not a twist or something like that,” De Sa said.

"We have to check him out because there is not much time in between matches right now and hopefully it’s not that bad and if it is we have enough cover to take his place.”

Wits will host Ajax at the Bidvest Stadium. The teams have met once already this season, with the Urban Warriors claiming a 3-1 win in Cape Town back in August.

Kick-off is at 19:30 on Wednesday, December 10.
