Ritchie linked with Chiefs return

Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic defender Keegan Ritchie is reportedly weighing up a return to Kaizer Chiefs ahead of the 2015/16 PSL campaign.

Ritchie, 25, spent three years on Amakhosi's books before sealing a move to Czech Republic side SK Slavia Prague in 2014.

His European stint did not go according to plan, however, and he soon returned to South Africa where he agreed a deal with Celtic.

The left-back had been linked with Mpumalanga Black Aces, but it appears that his future lies elsewhere, if recent reports are anything to go by.

"Chances of him (Ritchie) returning to the club are huge," an unnamed source told goal.com.

"There have been meetings, but maybe the best option is to wait for the club to make an annoucement."

Ritchie's representative, Steve Kapeluschnik, has confirmed that his client is on the verge of departing Celtic, but declined to comment on reports claiming that the defender is close to agreeing a deal with Chiefs.

"The truth is Keegan could be leaving Celtic, but I cannot says where he might be going at this moment," Kapelschnik said.
