With the win, Chiefs entrench their position at the top of the standings, with 30 points from their 13 matches. Meanwhile, Ajax remain on 12 points, after 13 rounds.

Chiefs came into the match off the back of their first league defeat of the season, and began the match strongly.

In the second minute, Reneilwe Letsholonyane was quick to react on a loose ball in the Ajax box and whipped in a powerful left-footed strike bringing out the best of Ajax 'keeper Sander Westerveld.

Ajax responded five minutes later through Matthew Booth. His powerful header shaved the crossbar and saw Itumelng Khune dive backwards.

On the quarter hour mark, Tefu Mashamaite made a bustling run into the box from a Chiefs free kick. His flying kick in the area was just wide.

At the 33 minute mark, Khune pulled off a spectacular save. Khama Billiat for Ajax, ran through three defenders in the box, but his fierce shot was covered by the Chiefs 'keeper.

It was a telling save, as three minutes later Chiefs took the lead.

Parker in the midfield, in space, went for goal, and his blistering strike took a deflection off Booth to find the back of the net and made it 1-0 to Chiefs.

In the 65th minute Chiefs doubled their advantage. Gaxa, with a powerful shot beat Westerveld on his near-post after a deft touch from Parker released his team-mate.

Tshabalala scored the third for Chiefs in the 75th minute as his long-range effort scorched into the back of the net to seal the victory.
