Johannesburg - Maccabi Haifa have put a R15 million offer for Mamelodi Sundowns striker Katlego Mphela on the table. It has been revealed that the Israeli club have put in a straight offer and do not expect the 26-year-old to attend a trial.

Mphela’s agent, Glyn Binkin, confirmed the multi-million rand offer. “Yes you are correct, but I don’t want to comment further,” said the agent. Binkin referred us to Sundowns but the club was unavailable for comment.

Maccabi is the club where Mphela’s international team-mate, Tsepo Masilela, is currently playing his football although the defender could be leaving the club during the off-season.
