R15m offer for Mphela

2011-07-15 14:08

Johannesburg - Maccabi Haifa have put a R15 million offer for Mamelodi Sundowns striker Katlego Mphela on the table. It has been revealed that the Israeli club have put in a straight offer and do not expect the 26-year-old to attend a trial.

Mphela’s agent, Glyn Binkin, confirmed the multi-million rand offer. “Yes you are correct, but I don’t want to comment further,” said the agent. Binkin referred us to Sundowns but the club was unavailable for comment.

Maccabi is the club where Mphela’s international team-mate, Tsepo Masilela, is currently playing his football although the defender could be leaving the club during the off-season.

go my son. You'll learn alot.

      YES - 2011-07-15 14:40

It's a blood money, there is nothing to gain from. Furthermore, their league is not one of the best. PSL rates higher than their league. Apart from the fact that such a move would be sell-out, there is absolutely nothing to learn from that league.

      ThaGhost - 2011-07-15 14:44

      Nyiko - 2011-07-15 15:11

Israel league sucks, its one of those back water leagues of europe. Currently ranked 17th strongest league in europe based on coefficients. Heck even the swiss league is rated higher and im pretty sure the English championship as well. The winner of that league is not even guaranteed a champions league spot but has to go through qualifiers. This is purely a money move. Dont go, rather try and move to another league

Congratulations! But instead of watching soccer this weekend, I would rather read a 400-page ebook (free) that I found on a US-based lottery post. The Lottery Code about some lady who cracked the British Lottery code. A must read for any lottery player. Thought I'd share it with the rest of you.

As a member of the leading forums for all the wonderful haifa fans, If Mr. Mphela joins our club, he is about to experience a bizarre moment when he arrives at the airport: he will meet "Liran Gray shirt" who will be welcoming him there with flowers and green scarf of our beloved team. Please don't be scared of him. We are waiting for you.
