Qalinge wants Amakhosi move

Cape Town - Thabo Qalinge is itching to leave Mpumalanga Black Aces in order to play for Kaizer Chiefs.

The 22-year-old midfielder is unsure whether how long he will still be with Aces after making his intentions clear.

I don't want to hide anything, but my heart is with playing for Kaizer Chiefs,” he told Kickoff.

He said that he has spoken with coach Clive Barker about his desire to leave and “face new challenges somewhere else”.

Barker has said that Aces are building from last season and reckons he has a strong squad going forward.

The former Bafana Bafana coach mentioned that Qalinge is very much part of his plans and that the player is not leaving the club.

Qalinge wants the move to happen now rather than wait for the next transfer window.

Kaizer Chiefs however have been very quiet in the transfer window with the club trying secure a move for Knowledge Musona.

Edward Manqele has also spoken of his desire to join the Soweto club from Mamelodi Sundowns after his agent came out and said that the player won't get much playing time at the Brazilians.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
