Gould fouled Wits striker Getaneh Kebede with what appeared to be a punch in their PSL match at FNB Stadium on November 9. He received a yellow card from referee Lwandile Mfiki for the transgression.
Gould apologised afterwards but Wits demanded that the PSL take action for what they believed was an unprovoked punch.
According to the Soccer-Laduma website, the 30-year-old now faces possible suspension, a fine or both.
The PSL's code of ethics states that the penalty for any individual's first conviction in a season can't go higher than a R50 000 fine.
