Cape Town - Bidvest Wits hope to continue to build on their performance when they host Polokwane City in a Absa Premiership encounter.

Wits are currently third in the league standings, thanks in part to a goalless draw against Mamelodi Sundowns at the weekend. This Wednesday’s host have been rather erratic during their more recent matches, having recorded two wins, two losses and a draw in their last five matches.
Nevertheless, Polokwane City are still the league stragglers and have failed to record a win in their last five matches. All the efforts of new coach Kosta Papic are not yielding positive results for the team from Polokwane.
What will be of particular concern for Papic is that four of his five forwards have misfired this season, with Puleng Tlolane being the only player among them who has breached opposition defences during the campaign.
For Wits, the script has been quite different this term, as Maliele Pule, Henrico Botes, Sthembiso Ngcobo and Getaneh Gebeto have all contributed to the cause. Strangely enough Christopher Katongo has yet to add his name to the scoresheet this season.
However, Wits have generally performed as a team throughout this campaign and that is unlikely to change ahead of Wednesday’s match.
