Preview: Maritzburg v Celtic

Cape Town - Maritzburg United are without defender Kwanda Mngonyama for their Premiership clash with Bloemfontein Celtic at Harry Gwala Stadium on Wednesday night.

The on-loan centre back is suspended after having picked up four yellow cards, while Sibusiso Kumalo is the only other player unavailable as he continues to recovery from knee surgery.

Celtic are experiencing somewhat of a revival under coach Ernst Middendorp having won their last two league matches, while Maritzburg are fresh off a 4-1 demolition of SuperSport United - a result that sees them go into Wednesday night’s game third on the table.

Striker Terrance Mandaza scored two goals for the team of Choice in that match, and the Zimbabwean says the mood in the camp is one of optimism.

"We have all been putting in a lot of hard work to be focused for this game and we are all confident going into the match," said Mandaza.

"As players we all have a lot of support for each other and as individuals we are all capable."

Celtic have only long-term absentee Keagan Buchanan unavailable.
