Polokwane target Tuks victory

Cape Town - University of Pretoria will look to bounce back from an opening round defeat when they host Polokwane City in the Absa Premiership.

The University club opened their 2015/16 league campaign with a 1-0 loss away to Golden Arrows on August 9.

AmaTuks are placed 16th on the Absa Premiership log with zero points from one match.

Polokwane opened their 2015/16 league campaign with a 3-2 home win over Bloemfontein Celtic on August 8.

Rise and Shine are placed first on the Absa Premiership log with three points from one match.

In head-to-head stats, Tuks and Polokwane have met in four league matches since 2013/14.

Rise and Shine have claimed three wins compared to one for the University side, while no games have been drawn.

Tuks have lost both of the two matches in which they have played host to Polokwane.

Last season the Limpopo side claimed a 1-0 win in Pretoria, but the return game saw AmaTuks run riot and claim an emphatic 5-1 victory.

This fixture has produced three successive away wins, starting in the second half of the 2013/14 season.

Kick-off is at 15:00 on Saturday, August 22.
