Pitso not worried about Chiefs

Cape Town – Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane reveals that he is unconcerned about Kaizer Chiefs form in the Absa Premiership.

Chiefs are on a 12 game unbeaten run and are currently at the summit of the Absa Premiership with 21 points.

At the beginning of the season Mosimane laid claim that retaining the PSL is main target as they want the “big fish” as he described it.

According to KickOff, the former Bafana Bafana mentor is confident that they can play catch up as he is unfazed by his “neighbours” dominance.

"We don't even look at our neighbours," says Mosimane.

"You remember the story last year, we don't look at the neighbours. We worry about what we can control and we don't worry about what we cannot control."

"At the moment with the League, we have the two points [from every game] that we always spoke about.

"We start from zero now and it's good to win. When you win the confidence becomes high. We have to win at Sundowns, we are a big team, we must win."

After a poor start to the Absa Premiership Pitso Mosimane’s charges climbed back into the top four holding firmly on fourth position - eight points off first position (Kaizer Chiefs) and two points off second spot (Ajax Cape Town).

Sundowns return to action on Saturday, October 18 at the Loftus Stadium in PSL encounter against Bidvest Wits.

Kick-off is at 18:00.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
