Johannesburg - Wits are looking at former Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane to take over at the helm of the club.
The Braamfontein-based club parted ways with coach Roger de Sa on Monday, and the top brasses within the club are on a mission to replace him ahead of the new season.
Wits have had a major capital injection which has seen an overhaul within the squad. The club has appointed Jose Ferreira as their new CEO, while several experienced campaigners have been roped into the playing squad, including the likes of Aaron Mokoena and Tinashe Nengomasha, amongst others.
According to high ranking officials within The Students camp, the club is wanting a more experienced coach with a certain style to lead the newly-assembled team in the 2012/13 campaign.
“You can see by the players the club has brought to the team this season that they want to play entertaining football, so they felt like Roger couldn't bring the ‘Kasi side’ of the game, that's why they want Pitso. Expect an announcement soon,” explained the source.
It remains to be seen if the former Bafana Bafana boss does take charge of the Wits bench, with the club having made their intentions on wanting to challenge for honours clear.
