Cape Town - The defensive partnership of Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Alje Schut has been praised by Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane.

According to KickOff, Mosimane is content with the defensive partnership of his captain and Mphahlele after putting in fantastic performances since the PSL resumed.

"They (Ramahlwa Mphahlele and Alje Schut) have been playing well and have been very good,” Mosimane says.

"The reasons Rama is playing there is that he is quick and has got pace.

“You saw the one ball against Thanda in the first half when the striker had one through and Rama came from right side with speed and managed to anticipate.

"Rama complements Schut with speed and they have good balance,” Mosimane adds.

Schut is set to leave Chloorkop at the end of the season as he looks to return to Holland.

Meanwhile, Sundowns travel to Durban to take on AmaZulu in a PSL encounter at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday, February 24.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
