Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has lauded the impact of match-winner Anthony Laffor but felt his defence are also due special mention.
Laffor came off the bench to net the only goal of the game on 70 minutes as the Brazilians dispatched Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay to move top of the Premiership standings on goal difference.
"Anthony Laffor has the Midas touch. What a super sub. Forever he saves us like this," said Mosimane after their 1-0 victory at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
"It was a very competitive game. We saw what happened to Black Aces here. They gave us the same medicine. They pushed us back and we couldn't do anything.
"But we had a very good (defensive) structure. I think our achievement at the back was very good. (Hlompho) Kekana and (Bongani) Zungu collected a lot of balls and we always played them on the break.
"Denis Onyango also gave us something different because of his height. We defended set-pieces very well but Onyango did exceptionally well.
"At the end I have to praise my midfield. (Lerato) Chabangu was sneaking in there. He's so smart. So we had to play one less up front.
"I just want to say, I fear for the teams that must still come here (to Port Elizabeth to play Chippa United)."
