Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes his side knows how to play ugly after Cuthbert Malajila's lone goal was enough to overcome AmaZulu.

According to KickOff, Mosimane admits that Usuthu are very dangerous and admits that his team had to grind out a result against Steve Barker’s side.

"We know how to play dirty, we know how to play nice, tonight was not about all these things, take the game, take one goal, they are dangerous,” said the former Bafana Bafana mentor.

"We have to grind the results, I told you, we know how to play ugly."

Mosimane added: "I told Steve Barker, if he plays like this – I understand why [Orlando] Pirates came from behind and equalised and scored in the 93rd minute [in AmaZulu's last League game] – if they play like this, I don't believe they can lose hey."

The win ensured Sundowns move back to second spot on the Absa Premiership standings as their quest to chase down Kaizer Chiefs continue.

Sundowns are 10 points behind leaders Amakhosi with a game in hand.
